SalisburyPlainAviation's video: Military Helicopters Playing in the Grass

@Military Helicopters Playing in the Grass
Military helicopters training within the UK SPTA (Salisbury Plain Training Area in Wiltshire, England) after the airstrip's grass had been cut. These military helicopters have powerful downwash which kicks up grass and dust. Military helicopter crews use this effect to 'brownout' the aircraft in a dust cloud making it harder for an enemy to target them. When the grass is cut this effect is a 'greenout' with grass flying everywhere and you can see the effect of the rotor downwash easily. Filmed at Deptford Down, an unmanned grass runway in the west of the Salisbury Plain.
