EE Buzzard in car WiFi - Mobile 4G MiFi Hotspot Device Dongle **** UPDATE 9.11.2015 **** Just to let you all know that I am still using this device virtually daily and it has only got better with time. I get great speeds more often than not these days as 4G network capacity had grown. As such when I am on the road every week with work I virtually never use Hotel Wifi or Public Wifi hotspots now, this literally covers me virtually anywhere. I am also finding that even in remote areas of scotland or the midlands of England that this gets me connected even when my iPhone 6 Plus cannot get a strong enough signal. The speeds are not great in remote locations usually but its good enough to connect my MacBook Pro and send emails so I can get my work done. Just one of the new line up of mobile 4G portable wifi hotspot devices from EE The Buzzard features here alongside the new Osprey and Kite. I opted for the Buzzard mobile 4G device which lacks a battery for true portability in exchange for dual antennas for best performance on the move whilst in car or anywhere else a USB power supply is available. The Kite offers a battery for multiple hours of 4G connectivity per charge in a more premium package whilst the Osprey device is slightly more rugged and not quite so slick looking or polished at the Kite. Each device has its pros and cons, take a look to see what you think of the Buzzard from EE. I would also like to note that they are ALL capable of utilising the double 4G speeds but on PAYG or monthly rolling plans EE do restrict access speeds. Unless you opt for a minimum of 12months contract then you will not be allowed to access the double 4G speeds on offer currently in certain areas so worth bearing this in mind when making your decision.
