You need to add a few layers of seasoning before it's ready for use. Place aluminum foil on the bottom of the oven and preheat the oven to 200°F / 93°C. 2. Wash your skillet with soap and water and dry well. 3. Place into the oven for 20 minutes. 4. Remove from oven and coat it in a very thin layer of oil (flax seed, canola, Crisco, lard, etc). 5. Preheat the oven to 450°F / 232°C. 6. Wipe off as much oil as possible using a lint free paper towel (such as these: https://amzn.to/3acUTFI ), a towel, or an old shirt 7. Place the pan face down into the oven for an hour. 8.
