Language learning I been one of them since highschool, I have been learning languages and studying linguistics for OVER A DECADE NOW, which is crazy to say given that I am only 24. The truth is though, I have fallen from my "former glory", I have not been studying languages and linguistics like I used to be and have substituted it with what I call "moneyology"(economics, finance, and accounting). I used to be able to have a conversation and Read/write in English, Spanish, French, & Portuguese, and that is the order in which I learned the languages and roughly in that order as it relates to the degree of relative proficiency I reached in the languages. At one point I was juggling Spanish French, Portuguese, and Mandarin Chinese made me a jack of many trades but a master of none (except for maybe spanish & arguably english). I was also in college trying to learn Biology, Chemistry (and physics albeit I was teaching myself this not taking courses on it). I was to broadly focus so I narrowed and changed my focus several times over the next few years. After I started to focus on financial matters late 2017 most of the languages were dying in my memory. Long story short I didn't want to forget my passion for language learning so I decided to focus on two distinct languages spanish and mandarin chinese, while the rest of my focus going towards "moneyology", making youtube videos, and doing taxes. I also should add working on my math skills in there as well, but that is a subordinate priority. Clear on my objective I wanted to find a way to practice spanish while still focusing on moneyology, making youtube videos, and doing taxes, and thus this channel was born. Chinese I have gone back and forth on whether I want to spend the time learning it, I have concluded yes! but I do not want to take the slow road to learning it.
