One Step Past's video: Sexy Spider Island Catfight

The popularity of this video clip astounds me! This clip, at the time of this writing, is by far and away the most popular video I've uploaded and the fastest to catch on in hits. It got more than 300 hits in just half a day after I uploaded it! The numbers have, of course, jumped up considerable since that time. Whenever I make a video, I like to give it a really neat name that I know will show up in keyword searches and hope that it attracts attention. I did myself proud on this one! Do I think this video clip is cool? Dang right, I do! I love all my videos. None of the videos I upload would exist in my channel if I didn't think they were really neat. Did I ever think this would be so much more popular than anything else I've uploaded up to this point? No. I just thought this was another great bit of video. I have made other videos that I, myself, find more interesting, but this one has really caught on with viewers and I greatly appreciate it! This comes from the movie, "The Horrors of Spider Island". The movie has an interesting history. It is a West Germany/Yugoslavia joint-production, originally released in 1960 as "Ein Toter hing im Netz". It wasn't until 1962 that it saw an American release, and was originally titled, "It's Hot in Paradise". In this form, the movie had scenes of nudity and was released as an "adults-only" film. Three years later, in 1965, this movie was trimmed of all its nudity, packaged as a sci-fi/horror movie, and called "The Horrors of Spider Island". In its sanitized form, the movie was pretty sucky. It failed as a sexploitation movie, sci-fi movie, and horror movie. It was just plain bad, but at least the girls were hot! This catfight is the most memorable scene from "The Horrors of Spider Island". The bad girl, Babs, is played by Barbera Valentin. This is one of her very early roles, but she ultimately became an iconic sex symbol in German films, dubbed the "German Jayne Mansfield". Eva Schauland played Millie (often listed as Nelly), the good girl in the catfight. She did VERY little in film and television, with a career that spanned only 1960-1961. Helga Franck, who played Georgia, the mediator of the fight, was an actress whose career was on the rise until her tragic death in 1963, at the age of 29. Franck fell to her death from a 5th floor apartment when she tried to get some fresh air, tripped, and fell out the window. She acted in only six films.
