Nikola Mandić rođen je 1923. u Kruševu od oca Ivana i majke Kate, rođene Rozić, koja je umrla dok je još bio mali. Živi u Mostaru od 1950. godine. Dva puta se ženio, ima troje djece, osmero unučadi i sedamnaestero praunučadi. Stogodišnji život općenito teško je prepričati i 'skratiti' u videu, posebice kada ta osoba, poput Nikole ima burnu prošlost.
