"Torches" ~ A Spanish Carol from Galicia, here sung to a tune Hilary (from Artisan) remembered from School. "Christmas Is Come In" Most of the songs in this collection by Artisan are genuine Carols, and later (18th or 19th century) hymns. All the songs here are personal favourites of ours, some learned many years ago in school, others learned from our friends as we trudged from door to door as kids on our Carol singing tours of the neighbourhood, still others learned more recently from the singing of other performers. In all cases we’ve tried to sing them in our own style - for pure enjoyment. In some cases we’ve sung versions ‘as learned’ and in others we’ve researched early versions. Artisan.
