I've been thinking about it for some time now, and I'm sad to say I won't be doing Disney Crossovers or MEPs anymore. Now there are a few reasons why: 1. I've been losing inspiration to edit any new crossovers. As looked back at my videos, there was been a huge gap inbetween times where I joined MEP or did my own crossover. There was the 'Come to your Senses' mep part for DancingwithDragon's birthday mep, but before that (and I've checked) the last time I did anything related was for a cancelled RP, The Wish Granters, ALL the way back in 2018/19. With me working on my audio drama and a few others as an artist and occasional voice-actor, it's hasn't been a option for me to play around with the masking I have anymore. 2. I've just gotten a new laptop. Nothing wrong with that, but when you had a laptop for more than 7 years being built in After Effects (crack version) along with a Adobe profile that requires you to pay in order to use it (even though it hasn't detected the crack version). Because of the hassle I had to do before when I first started with a student account, I don't want to go through that again. Plus whenever I try to download a crack version, it always come with a virus and that's a risk I don't want to take with this laptop. 3. Not only that, but the amount of space all of these maskings, After Effects and even the footage I have to carry is outrageous. With my last laptop (with it being able to carry 130 GB, which is not enough when working with 8 GB RAM), I have to use a USB external hard drive to hold all of the footage and projects. To all the editors who still work with crossovers on this day, I am always impressed on how you can hold all of that and more without having your laptop crash down or taking your entire storage memory. I feel that with these reasons alone, it was enough for me to stop making maskings and voltunteers for RP or Meps, even when I'm not sure if I'll be able to finish them. And even when I do, I go manic trying to finish as early as I can without losing vision of how I want to edit them. And I am just as sad because, from the start of YouTube, discovering these old Disney MEPs was how I was introduced to video-editing. And even years later, when I joined studios like MysticDreamsStudio, 0nceUponaDreamStudios, DisneyPrincess, DisneyMagic and so many more (I can't even count how many I joined), and learning with the other editors I've met, it later became a huge impact in my life and be an escape that I needed. I've grown as an editor because of the Disney Editing Community and even to this day, I still watch old and new editors who developed amazing styles and effects with MEPs, RPs, and Crossovers than anything I learned in my younger years. Video-editing will still be a part of me as I turn my attention to other fandoms and other works, with my own Audio Drama, The Element of Kindness, other Audio dramas like ObabScribbler's Friendship is Tragic 2 and Sugar Cloud's The Forest Beast, and even trying out voice-acting with comic dubs and I See Fire by TheNight130. As for this time, now that I've made my decision, I'm glad to have one chapter in my life that I choose to close for now. And give context on how long of a time it's been, I joined MysticDreams (my first studio where we only did with Windows Movie Maker or iMovie) in March 2010, I was 14 and I am NOW 28! And for that, I think I will throw in my entire collection of masking that I've done from 2016 to now. I will be including the ones I did in 2014/2015 as those masking were made before I learned how to disable sample frames on SV and it made a HUGE difference on my maskings after that. And look on that, they were pretty awful. You are free to use them, even if you credit me or not, as I can always open to see how you use them for your projects, even for the new editors that will give them extra help.
