(01:26) Tip 1: Did you know that there are two ways of popping the car boot open? Option 1: At the back of the Bluecar, close to the right tail light, look for a round black button with a Bluecar symbol. Simple press the button on the car boot door will pop open. Option 2: On the same row as the hazard light button, you'll notice a car symbol on the extreme right button. Press the button and you will hear the boot pop open. 🛍️After loading the boot, please remember to close it shut. A click sound can be heard when it is closed securely. Tip 2: Unsure if you left the headlights on? Simply turn the headlights knob to auto at the beginning of your rental. Tip 3: This is what "DNR" stands for: "D" on the gear stick refers to drive. Engage this gear by shifting the gear stick forward. This is needed for the Bluecar to drive. "N" stands for neutral. No gear will be engaged when the gear stick is shifted left. Do remember to start and end your rental in this gear. "R" on the gear stick refers to reverse. Engage this gear by shifting the gear stick backwards. This is needed for the Bluecar to reverse. Tip 4: Always remember, your handbrake is your best friend when you are driving up and down a slope. When you stop on a slope, remember to pull up your handbrake to prevent the Bluecar from rolling backwards or forwards. When reversing on a slope, ensure that you have stepped on your acceleration peddle fully once you release the handbrake to prevent the Bluecar from moving forward. Tip 5: If you have left anything behind in the Bluecar, don't worry! BlueSG offers a 10 mins grace period for you to unlock the Bluecar and retrieve your belongings. This is provided the Bluecar is still at the same station that you ended your rental at.
