Designed with the objective to ride better in the revert position (fin in the front while surfing), the Hammerhead has helped both novice and advanced riders take their game to the next level. The Hammerhead has a squared nose and tail shape, allowing the board to have added stability and speed regardless of which direction it rides. This shape provides additional surface area for landings when returning from orbit on ollies, keeping the board from sinking or losing speed. Additionally, the Hammerhead can be ridden 1-3 inches shorter than traditional shapes for even more response. The extra "lead rail" running into the nose enables the board to hold a line on the wave with less slip, making chaining tricks and maneuvers easier. The Hammerhead is hand-built in Florida using Phase 5's exclusive Black Carbon layup that gives the board the strongest and fastest construction possible. With a little luck and a lot of practice it may just have you landing Drew's signature revert 540 Big Spin, or more likely that ever elusive 360.
