BoatAdvice's video: Bavaria Sport 330

@Bavaria Sport 330
The Bavaria Sport 330, a German built sports cruiser, made its Australian premier on the opening day of the Sydney International Boat Show. That the 10 metre cruiser adds even more choice in an already crowded segment is good news for Australian boat buyers. With a myriad of European brands and the usual American boats available in this size consumers are spoilt for choice. And even better, each manufacturer strives for that little difference to help get them over the line so innovation is everywhere. The Sport 330 is a hard top design with a sunroof allowing you to get that wind in the hair feeling at the press of a button. The spacious ‘C’ shaped cockpit allows a generous access way on the starboard side up to the helm and passenger seating. On any typical Aussie summer day, this will be where most will stay and it’s made even easier with the addition of a cockpit wet bar. You can also turn this area into a sunlounge or you can walk up to the bow and place yourself there. There is also a massive teak swim platform which will also provide hours of fun in the sun. The innovative design below decks allows for a full beam aft cabin with lounge or bunks with a lockable door which is unusual on a boat in this class. The toilet is located centrally with the convertible dining opposite the galley while a vee berth sits at the bow. It allows accommodation, albeit tight, for up to six people. The bathroom facilities also feature a full shower. The hull is built with a sandwich construction with a deep freeboard to ensure safety for those onboard. There are some nice touches with stainless used thoughtfully and classy timber finishes delivering a modern and spacious feel throughout despite the size of the boat. On first impression this is the perfect boat for the downsizer or small family looking for a classy European design with innovative touches and a fantastic cabin layout.
