BoatAdvice's video: Sea Fox 288 Commander - Gold Coast Marine Expo

@Sea Fox 288 Commander - Gold Coast Marine Expo
This is one serious boat and powered by twin 300hp Evinrude G2 outboard engines, I'm sure it would go.....fast. As it was we only had a look at this new 2017 model on the trailer but straight away I was impressed by the sheer size and purposeful look of the thing and thinking how I could cobble together the $250,000 plus asking price. It's a large boat at 8.75 metres long and almost 3 metres wide it would be no mean simple rig to tow, but tow it you can opening up any number of options for the keen angler. The other bonus is it's got the best of both worlds. It's the sort of boat your other half would be happy to be on with the front half all comfort with twin rear facing moulded seats that almost absorb your body. Immediately ahead of the console is another twin seat set up, facing forward almost like a sunlounge with cupholders in between. I can see the champage flowing already as I haul a mackerel over the side. The console is large, covered by a T-Top, and while providing suitable storage also hides an onboard toilet, another tick on the 'other' column. Behind it sit two of the most impressive helm seats I've seen with an electronics array that any jet pilot would find bewildering with massive Simrad multi-function displays side by side and the Evinrude ICON touch screen below and to the left. This all goes in the 'me' column. While the girls will enjoy the luxury touches up front, I'd be down the back where an impressive moulded fibreglass bait prep station takes priority with a fold out table revealing masses of storage for any and all tackle and let me just say this boat also has one of the most impressive live bait tanks I've ever seen. It's cavernous. For larger gamefish there is a lift outdoor moulded into the port side while down the back sit those impressive looking outboards. I can only wonder how this one is going to perform and I cannot wait to get it on the water.
