My brother and I made this soap a while ago, So I will share it with you how long it will take if you use a whisk. Mix time will very on how much air you can whip in the mix. The mix of Crisco butter flavor and corn oil made a hard bar of soap It cleaned very well with little suds. Remember it takes 30 day of curing to finish deserving the fats and lye into soap. I could have cooked it another 30 min. to make hard curds that could be used right away. But it does not make a bar of soap with out a press. Rain water is the best for making soap. Hard wood ash from a wood stove was used for lye back in the day. People of the time had more hog fat so most soap was made from hog lard. Now a days you have every kinda fragrance, coconut oils as well as Opossum fat if you know where to shop.
