Having started at 8 years old in the award winning High Park Choirs of Toronto, he toured Canada and Europe, and studied music under revered conductor Zimfira Poloz for almost a decade. Spencer’s passion for classical music was temporarily put on the shelf as his attention drew him to electronic music. Starting out with only a pair of turntables, he quickly learned the DJ craft, which inevitably lead him to delve into the world of production. With nothing but a cracked version of Reason 5, some youtube tutorial videos, and an unquenchable thirst for creation, Spencer began making a name for himself in the electronic music scene. Starting off under the alias THYME, Armstrong was quick to produce his first album “Voices In My Head”, an incredibly diverse release covering a wide variety of genres. The self titled track by the same name went on to collect over 150,000 views on Soundcloud, thanks in part to blog/model sensation Felice Fawn who stumbled across the track by accident and posted it. THYME also went on to having releases featured by notable electronic music channels, including MrSuicideSheep, MOR Network, and 17Tumba. While THYME became known for his ambient, chilled out music, his passion for other genres remained a prominent influence in his creative work. As fate would have it, Spencer found himself living with 3 rappers, and soon enough began to recognize an enormous talent he had for hip hop production. It took only his first finished product for him to realize the threat he posed to the Hip Hop game. Spencer Jones was conceived in that moment, and Armstrong has been relentless in the studio producing some of his best work to date. At 21 years old, just scratching the surface of his musical potential, he will be attending the prestigious Music Industry Arts program at Fanshawe College in September 2015. In 1992 they began airing on KPDX Portland and then they move to KWBP in 1994. In 1995 they began airing on 22 Network One affiliates. In 1997 Network One shut down and the service moved to KOIN and in 2001, the service moved back to Phoenix, airing on KASW, then in 2002, moved to KPHO-TV. In 2003 they got their own station, KPHE-LP, at the time broadcasting on channel 19 in Mesa, Arizona, and changed their name to Bohemia Visual Music. KPHE moved to channel 44 in Phoenix in 2005.[2] Bohemia Visual Music changed their name to 24-7 Videos for a few months from mid-2005 to early-2006, then reverted to Bohemia Visual Music.
