Let's get political, ya'll! Did you know voting can be a prophetic act? One of the ways we as Christians get to participate with our government, especially in a democracy where when we can vote, this act is actually intercession. It's tying our value system to something God wants to do on the earth. We have a responsibility to vote, not just because we are part of a country, but because as Christians when we vote part of our heart is present there. You may feel like your vote may not even be counted towards the win, and sometimes this causes people not to vote. This is a selfish and non-Christlike way to think. I live in Los Angeles where a lot of the times I know my vote will not count directly. But, in the Spirit it counts! It's like an arrow to the heart of an issue where I"m tying my values. One of the ways we advocate is by voting. It's not only important as a prophetic act, but it's also important as a community act. I want to encourage you in this next season, look at your opportunities to vote in and ask God what He would have you do for your region, for your city, for your country and vote as a prophetic intercessory act.
