A brilliant singer with an outstanding Danish orchestra of the late 50s and the early 60s. (Please find some info and the lyrics below) LIS BJØRNHOLT Lis Bjørnholt started her career by entering a singing competition organized by the magazine Look & Listen. Then she took singing lessons from John Wahl. In the spring of 1958, she started working with Jørn Grauengård orchestra at the restaurant called "Giraffe". The same year she had her TV debut, where she presented the song "Dear Nicholas". Lis Bjørnholt appeared with Jørn Grauengård for six years until 1964 when she retired to devote himself to the family. In 1970 she had a brief comeback and sang with Ivan Leth's orchestra at the restaurant called Peacock in Tivoli. She sang traditional songs "Then came spring to Tarina", "It will come by itself" and "Speedy Gonzales Twist", but also jazz influenced numbers and ballads such as "Anima e core" and "Historia de un amor". *** JØRN GRAUENGÅRD Danish guitarist and band leader (September 28, 1921 - January 4, 1988). He was a member of the Børge Roger Henrichsen quintet in the early 1940s.
