Rumors are swirling that Melania Trump plagiarized Michelle Obama’s speech from the 2008 Democratic National Convention. Paul Manafort and the Trump Campaign is denying Melania Trump plagiarized any of Michelle Obama's words, saying they were, "Common Phrases". After reviewing the speeches side by side, it is undeniable that Melania Trump, or someone from the Trump campaign copied word for word Michelle Obama’s speech, which was critically acclaimed by many in politics. Melania was caught in an interview with Matt Lauer of NBC’s Today Show, that she only read the speech once because she wrote the speech herself. Now many people will ask did she know she copied from Michelle Obama? Melania Trump was the headliner of the first night of the 2016 Republican National Convention in Cleveland Ohio. Last night’s theme was Make America Safe Again. While the initial coverage of Melania Trump’s speech was favorable, after reports surfaced on twitter of the similarities between the two speeches, reporters pulled up the tapes of the two speeches and it is plain to see that someone stole full portions of the speech.
