The $24 piece of plastic was not pressing the circuit board switch. Instead of opening up the entire machine and replacing it or having to pay $200 for the repair, we came up with a zero cost hack. Replace the button by pressing the on the circuit board start switch. A piece of 1/4" dowel dull sharpened at one end, a piece of steel tubing, and a scrap piece of plastic. If you want to do it without the "button", just use a piece of dowel
