Okay, so it's been a while (eek, 5 months!), yes, I know, but I'm going to try and make an attempt to make more videos, I've just been having a hectic past few months.... So, with that out of the way, I have decided to make the second volume of Sonic 3 and Knuckles. With this corruption there are a few changes. First off, this is the highest resolution video that I've ever rendered, and the first public 4K video that I've ever uploaded. The reason for this is that the pixel aspect ratio for the video mode that this game uses is 32:35, so to get the best pixel uniformity you would have to blow up the video to about 10,240 * 7,840, and while youtube accepted that (yes, I did try something that insane) I found that I needed to find a pixel aspect ratio that was more, sane, so I settled on an 11:12 PAR (with a pixel aspect ratio of about .9166 instead of the more correct .9143) which leads to a total resolution of 3520 * 2688, which youtube is cool with. Needless to say, I had to let this thing render overnight, fun times. As I'm writing this, I uploaded this on the first of August, and I'm just now getting around to writing all of this up. My life lately just has been seriously hectic and I've struggled with finding the time to work on my channel. Hopefully it would take long to get the commentary done.
