Xunatunich is an Ancient Maya archaeological site in western Belize, just outside San Ignacio. San Ignacio is a great hub for accessing many adventures in the Belizean jungle. This was the first Mayan ruin I had ever step foot on and I was blown away. It was a blessing to explore this place without too many crowds and be present - listening and learning. If you're in the San Ignacio area, this is a must-see. Having been to quite a few Mayan sites now, this one is still at the top of my list.
