Brains Applied's video: How To Deal With Social Anxiety

@How To Deal With Social Anxiety
Hi everyone, Today I'm explaining how to deal with social anxiety. Do you want to find out whether you are suffering from social anxiety? Go to http://brainsapplied.com/socialanxiety and take the test! To treat social anxiety: 1) Be aware of the fact that your thoughts are biased in a negative way. Catch your negative thoughts and analyse them in a rational way. Step-by-step your way of thinking will improve. 2) When you're in a situation that stresses you, try to identify the behaviours that you engage in to make yourself feel safe (e.g. Avoiding to make eye contact) and try to avoid them the next time when you are stressed. 3) Expose yourself and face your fears. But take it slow! Start with working on situations that are not too stressful. The confidence that you gain there will be useful in more stressful situations. I would love to hear your opinion!
