Brains Applied's video: 3 Scientific Tips For More Focus

@3 Scientific Tips For More Focus
Hi guys! Today, I'm looking at some tips of the book "Focus Aan/Uit" (Focus On/Off) by Mark Tigchelaar and Oscar de Bos. It's a great book that's unfortunately only available in Dutch, so watch the entire video ;) Tip : Take breaks so your brain has time to produce the neurotransmitters that are required to concentrate. Tip : Multitask! According to the Yerkes-Dodson Law we need enough stimuli so our brain won't become bored. So find something that will use just a tiny bit of your brain capacity, like listening to rain sounds. Tip : Don't switchtask! When you use too much of your brain capacity for a secondary task you will get distracted. So don't use your phone, don't check your mailbox, let nothing get in between you and your books. For the Dutch people, I really advice you to read the book. Check the website: https://focusaan.nl/ If you want to have some white noise: http://mynoise.net Enjoy the ride!
