2 Brazilian dancers present their dance routines performances at Queen of Carnival Contest, 2017. Brazilian dancers perform in carnival costumes. The Brazilian dancers prepare one full year. These one minute samba dance routines were performed by Brazil Dancer Camila Macedo, Diva for" Viradouro Samba School", candidate number 04 and Larissa Reis, candidate number 03. The contest for many years has been hosted at the City of Samba, close to the harbor area in Rio, and the location where the samba-schools build their floats, fine tune their instruments, and prepare all year round for the Rio de Janeiro Carnival The contest at its final stage requires the eight contenders to present themselves in full carnival costume, and normally they go through 3 elimination phases. Although both of them performed very well, they did not make it to the three posts which enables them to receive the prize of seven thousand dollars. (Rio Carnival Queen, Rio Carnival First Princess, and Rio Carnival Second Princess.) Also noteworthy to point the weight of both the headpieces and samba-sandals of the carnival costume, which considerably increases the difficulty of the performance. We were all very happy to see two beautiful performances and sure dancers all over the world will be able to grasp some aspects of these routines.
