Kaden scowls at Braxton to catch up as they flee through the forest. It is still day time, but the large pine trees tower over everything below to make the environment appear darker. They gather at a clustered pile of broken wood. It's hard to make out what it could have been. They guess it's just used to be a table or even a shed. The pile lays dead littered with orange pine needles. Braxton sits on a nearby stump as he discusses what they should do next. Kaden paces as they discuss. Taking the roads back to town would be about only a mile. It's not that much walking. Then they could easily walk home. The problem is that the psychiatric ward probably called the police. They'll be checking the areas they're walking in. They'll surely be caught. Then there's the forest. They can circle through it to get home and avoid the public, but that'll take even longer. On top of that, the sun will probably be setting by then and then they will be in a dark forest, at risk of being attacked. The subject of the conversation is changed by Kaden's curiosity in the cube.
