In this video, I introduce you to a very special member of my family: My 7 year old niece, Eva Hiott. In this video, recorded at my church on Sunday morning, May 27, 2012, she and I sing a little song called, "My Peace." Incredibly, singing with me was her idea, which is something you wouldn't normally expect from someone as young as she is. But I was thrilled that she wanted to sing with me, so I went and discussed it with my music minister, Bryan Hester, who found this song for us to do. This was her first time singing in public, and she told me just before we sang that she was nervous. In the beginning of the song, the batteries in her microphone gave out, but the song turned out great nonetheless. I would like to extend a very special thank you to Bryan Hester for giving us this opportunity to sing and to Marty Harris for taping our performance! And so, I hope y'all enjoy my niece and I as we sing the song, "My Peace".
