You can have up to six players at once and can choose teams by turning team mode on. Co-op mode has been added where you fight enemies in waves. There are five waves total with the last wave being the hardest. More players will add to the difficulty by having enemies with more health or just more enemies. No more than five enemies will appear at once to keep the game at a steady frame rate. Four human players though is the max because splitting the screen 5 ways would be too much. Be the last one standing to win. There are options for appear ratings of items and enemies which you can completely turn off if desired, although for items there will still be the regular transparent item box cubes unless you turn those off in the item switch of course. How to Play and Game Playing Tips: Attack each other to stun your opponents. You can combo up to three hits followed by your strong attack by holding the attack button and even throwing an item you have in stock by holding the item button. When stunned, an opponent will take damage from a regular attack or an additional point of damage from items that normally hurt you. So when stunned you will always take damage after being hit. You can use two items at once if they are an item combo pair – note the checkbox that gets checked green, otherwise a red ‘X’ will appear there. Items you are holding appear in your right box on the top of the screen and items you have in stock from an item box are in the left box. Attacks can collide which will knock back participating players. Stronger attacks will overpower the weaker ones. You can also hit banana peels with a strong attack to move them! Yellow numbers that fly off are the amount of stun inflicted and red numbers are the amount of damage inflicted. While it can be fun to watch the AI battle each other, I encourage you to get in on the action if you are playing!
