The new Dewalt XR Power Detect dcs574w1 Brushless 7-1/4 inch circular saw with 8.0ah battery claims 54% more power. I did an unboxing , comparison and review against my older 6-1/2 model dcs391. This has a no load speed of 5500 rpm. The max depth cut at 90 degrees is 2 9/16 and at 45 degrees it is 2 inches. The maximum bevel angle is 57 degrees. Also detents at 22.5 and 45 degrees. The Dewalt dcs574w1 kit comes with the dcs574 power detect circular saw, 1 8.0ah batter, a dewalt bag and finally the fast charger. On my initial testing you can certainly feel the power difference of the power detect when compared to the standard dcs391. It cuts through wood like butter and I would say it is a nice in between power wise compared to the standard version and the flexvolt saw.
