My mother was born and raised in Alsace, France, so French food has been a staple practically my whole life. Her favorite dessert is crème brûlée, so a few years ago, I learned how to make it and she said it’s the best she’s ever had! Here’s a quick video to show my process with a recipe you can screenshot at the end or follow it below so you can try it yourself. Thank you for watching and let me know what you think in the comments! — Crème Brûlée recipe Ingredients 6 egg yolks 4 TBSPs sugar 1/2 TSP vanilla 2.5 cups of heavy cream 1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. 2. Pour cream into a sauce pan on medium heat, stirring occasionally. 3. Beat together egg yolks, sugar, and vanilla until thick and creamy. 4. Remove cream from heat when it’s just starting to boil. 5. Pour some cream into egg mixture and whisk briskly. 6. Pour remaining cream into separate bowl. When egg/cream mixture is combined, pour it into the remaining cream and whisk. Strain out the foam. 7. Place ramekins in a baking dish and pour mixture evenly into individual dishes. 8. Set dish in oven and pour hot water into dish until halfway up the side of the ramekins. 9. Bake between 15 to 30 minutes until custard gives gelatin-like jiggle. 10. Let ramekins cool in water bath for 15 minutes then put in fridge until ready to serve. 11.
