Bridgeside Productions's video: An Artist s Music Therapy For Dealing with Loss Excess

Bridgeside Live welcomes JSanti to play a set of his originals, characterized by a mix of R&B, Soul & Blues Rock. He’s a singer-songwriter, artist, multi-instrumentalist, business operator and native New Yorker. Between songs, we’ll get a closer look into the life of JSanti (John Santiago) and how music became his therapy. At the age of 13, John experienced the sudden and traumatic loss of his first love due to a tragic car accident. Confused and uncertain, he felt lost, searching for an outlet. At the age of 15, he began writing poetry intensely and soon began singing in a band with friends. He found the process of writing, singing and performing songs so intensely therapeutic that upon the break up of the band, he could not stop and decided to teach himself guitar. The guitar came naturally to him and as he discovered blues guitarists such as Stevie Ray Vaughan, Freddie King and Jimi Hendrix, his understanding leapt forward at a tremendous rate.  John’s current songwriting continues to promulgate his belief of songwriting as a means of self therapy and personal expression.
