In this webinar, the speakers, Claire Steele and Sarah Smith explored what inclusive and diverse classrooms look like to pave the way for these classroom practices. They started by sharing what teaching inclusion, diversity and equity mean. By sharing classroom situations, they got teachers to think what an inclusive and diverse classroom looks like. They went on to demonstrate how story telling can be used as a powerful tool to champion diversity and inclusion. They finally shared a framework for what a social justice lesson looks like. By the end of this session, they provided participants with practical ideas and activities that they can apply in their classrooms.
