The city of the future could be hazard resilient, resource sustainable and rich in natural capital - but only if we act today. BGS are working with partner bodies in cities all over the world to capture geoscience information and data from outcrops, boreholes and samples. We then bring this information together to create a 3D model of the city. We also work to analyse and understand hazards that occur in cities, such as landslides and earthquakes. If we are going to build the cities of tomorrow, we need to work across disciplines to bring together our knowledge to inform decision making and improves lives. www.bgs.ac.uk
