Let's Hiit it! Time for some aerobics mixed with anaerobic exercises. Aerobic means with air and anaerobic means without air. In the aerobic portion, you're focusing on bringing up your heart rate, having a breathing rhythm, and moving your entire body. While in the anaerobic phase you're focusing on contracting specific muscles and your breathing is a bit different... almost as if someone has punched you in the gut to protect your core.
