Evidence in support of the resurrection of Jesus! 1. Women found the grave first. In biblical times, it was a patriarchal society, so why would the authors of the Gospels risk an embarrassment by admitting that it was women who found the body first unless it was true? 2. Jesus appeared publicly to over 500 people. Many false religions today such as Mormonism and Islam rely on a testimony of one man. But Jesus didn’t appear to just one person after his death, he appeared publicly to over 500 people. 3. Some suggest that maybe all who saw Jesus were hallucinating. But scientifically, the same hallucination can’t happen to a group of people. And Jesus appeared to many on seperated times and occasions over 40 days. 4. The disciples willingly died for what they KNEW was true, because they had WITNESSED it with their own eyes. People throughout history die for what they THINK is true all the time. But the disciples died for what they KNEW was true because they had WITNESSED it themselves. So friends, have a blessed and Happy Resurrection Sunday. Happy Easter!
