This vlog covers the second and third days of trekking in a series traveling in Nepal with my sister Chelsea... We are trekking Nepal through the Annapurna circuit in the Himalayas! We head from Chame to Upper Pisang, stay the night, then take the high pass trekking to Manang... this higher pass takes us above 3600m and then back down to Manang to sleep, but I had some issues with altitude sickness. Altitude sickness (AMS / acute mountain sickness) can be very serious. I think it happened to me partly because of lack of sleep, getting sick, and taking cold meds in the morning. It is advisable to descend if your symptoms worsen; every year cases result in death and many people are life-flighted off the mountains. The Himalayas are a mountain range in Asia separating the plains of the Indian subcontinent from the Tibetan Plateau. The contain some of the worlds highest mountain peaks, including the highest: Mount Everest! The Annapurna Circuit trek takes us through many villages such as Manang Nepal as we ascend to an altitude of 5,416 metres (17,769 ft) and cross the thorong la pass.
