Old video, re-edited. 2:28 minutes. The Yellowtail Coris wrasse is one of my favorite fishes. It is brilliantly colored throughout its life, all young fish are females, but some will eventually change sex to become terminal phase males. They search for prey items by flipping over rocks - sometimes very large rocks as you can see in this video. And, watch how the big male bashes a small urchin against a rock. Not many fish exhibit such behavior. Kaloko, Kona Coast, Hawaii, depth 45', January 29, 2012.
