This session shows the latest hepatitis C data from a national sentinel surveillance network of Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations (ATLAS network) and the results of The Goanna Survey 2; a study of knowledge, risk practices and health service access for sexually transmissible infections (STIs) and blood-borne viruses (BBVs) among young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Findings from a recent study on the barriers and enablers of hepatitis C treatment among clients of urban Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services in South East Queensland and how the Institute of Urban Indigenous Health (IUHI) have translated these research findings into service delivery. The webinar will also showcase micro-elimination approaches from two local Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations based on outer regional and urban settings and one peer-based model fo service delivery.
