C.H.I.P Lifestyle's video: JUMP

THIS IS NOT AN OFFICIAL ADVERTISEMENT FOR AIR JORDAN OR NIKE. I created this video commercial (in a short amount of time) to tell a story about a connection I had with a brand. I chose to do it on Air Jordan, and even though it may not have gotten the reception I wanted, I hope you like it. More than just an inspiring story, this brand is what made me interested in marketing and therefore, having a part in creating this channel. I made a little change to when I presented in class, so I hope you like it. “Jump” Back to school shopping, time for a new pair of kicks. The store was packed, employees were running… and in the chaos... I saw it. With all the commotion and noise, it sat there, and it drew me in. I had no idea what shoe it was, and who that guy doing this split was… it was familiar... I just knew I really wanted my dad to get it … but he was $10 short It was unfortunate I guess, and I thought that was the end of it… but it wasn’t. After that day, I kept seeing the logo. It was more and more evident and made me curious. What is that? Who is that? I did my research and found out a couple of different things. Turns out, that split was actually him jumping, hence jumpman. What I also found out is that he also knew a lot about not getting what he wanted. He didn’t make his high school team. He wasn’t selected first overall. He didn’t always make the game winning shot. He didn’t do well in the sport he first fell in love with... Yet no matter what he didn’t get his way, he found a way to jump even higher. He’s referred to the greatest basketball player of all time and built an empire from his career. 6x Champ, 6x finals MVP, 14x all-star, Olympic Gold Medalist, 10x scoring leader and so on. No wonder everyone wanted to be like him. Oh wait, now I remember him. He was playing with Bugs Bunny. Then I remembered, he was everywhere. Not just in sports, but because he made that jump. That jump into movies advertisements pop culture fashion executive honours and more. Even if I couldn’t get it then, didn’t stop me from getting it now. That’s why I wear Jordan’s… So I can: Jump to get what I want. Jump to the places they told me I can never go. Jump so high they know my name. Jump. So they remember my name.
