C.R. Greyf's video: RAVENDANCE- Lily Bright As Snow

Black Metal from Münchberg/ Bavaria, Germany. From 1997 self-titled demo tape Cryptic Wintermoon- follow-up, consisting of CW- former members Atlan and Greyf. D. Ray used to be guitarist in Black Prophecies, the band that became CW in 1993. Ravendance had been a side project of CW- a CW song gave name for this band. They followed the idea of original Cryptic Wintermoon after the split- up to create a black art project giving equal rights to the elements poetry, music and graphics. They made two tapes, "Lucienne" in 1997 and this one. "Outside,outside sweet lily white was born by the grace of the sun allowed by the moon to watch our love´s bloom in the shadow of the old plum `Don´t wake her, don´t wake her, she slumbers so sweet, and the sleep is her burden´s best cure while rich men despise what a poor love unites if one´s origin might be obscure` Outside, outside sweet lily white was swayed to sleep by the moon so couldn´t sight the beastly might devouring a virgin heart soon.. That disastrous night! That cold riverside! She left all alone to find the ravenstone where the ashtrees grow, where the huntsmen row, where the moon´s admiration for himself is too strong to find an eye for things going wrong.. Outside, outside sweet lily white was bowing to fiery fall Her time was near, and without any fear Lily waited for HIS icy call.. That cursed sunrise saw a poor soul rise, on her lips a sigh, in her hand an eye... ´Oh luna, oh luna, I still hear the hooves, hooves bringing dark to my mind; a creepy black nag, a pale corpse on it´s back and I knew that my soul was to grind!` Outside, outside sweet lily white was caressed to death by the snow so cannot hold my blood, so cold that flees from all earthly row.. " ( A ravenstone is a fire-red egg layed by a she-bird of prey living together with it´s husband for more than a hundred years. They have to rip out the eyes of more than a hundred thieves swinging at the gallow´s end. Ravenstones are layed in an interval of ten winters, and if you´ll get one, all around you will shine in the brightest light while you are getting invisible. But it´s hard to get one: you have to search in a timber forest at the last day of February, walking the develish ways, and look for a firn that´s not surrounded by snow. Then you have to put down all your clothes and climb the tree, attacked by an armada of ghosts and demons. At the top you have to close your eyes, swing around the trunk for three times and grap into the nest for only one time. Good luck!)
