किसी भी मैच में 'मैन ऑफ द मैच’ या किसी भी सिरीज में ‘मैन ऑफ द सिरीज’ बनने के लिए खिलाड़ियों को बहुत मेहनत करनी पड़ती है। खिलाड़ी इन खिताबों को पाने के लिए खूब रन बनाते हैं, और फील्ड पर अच्छा प्रदर्शन करते हैं या फिर विकेट चटकाते हैं। लेकिन आईपीएल 11 के एक मैच में एक गेंदबाज सिर्फ एक विकेट लेकर ही 'मैन ऑफ द मैच' बन गया। दरअसल गुरुवार को सनराइजर्स हैदराबाद और मुंबई इंडियंस के बीच मुकाबला खेला गया। मुंबई ने 20 ओवरों में आठ विकेट के नुकसान पर 147 रन बनाए थे। लक्ष्य का पीछा करने उतरी हैदराबादी की टीम ने जवाबी पारी में नौ विकेट के नुकसान पर 151 रन बनाए थे। ऐसे में सनराइजर्स ने एक विकेट से यह मैच अपने नाम किया। इस मैच का नायक शिखर धवन या फिर मुंबई इंडियंस के गेदबाज मयंक मार्कंडेय को कहा जा सकता है क्योंकि धवन ने 45 रन की शानदार पारी खेली थी जबकि मयंक ने चार विकेट झटके थे लेकिन इस सबके बीच अफगानिस्तान के प्लेयर और सनराइजर्स हैदराबाद के स्पिनर राशिद खान को एक विकेट लेने पर ही मैन ऑफ द मैच दे दिया गया। उनको मैन ऑफ द मैच क्यों दिया गया इसके पीछे भी एक बड़ी वजह है। दरअसल राशिद को इस मुकाबले में कुल चार ओवर फेंकने को मिले थे। उन्होंने इनमें कुल 13 रन दिए थे, जबकि 18 डॉट गेंदें डाली थीं। जिस वजह से उन्हें 'मैन ऑफ द मैच' के लिए चुना गया। Rashid Khan, the leg-spinner from Sunrisers Hyderabad, is on a dual mission. "I don't think the pitch against Mumbai was different from what we played against Rajasthan in the first game. It was supportive to both batsmen and bowlers," he said. "It all depends on the bowlers. If they are good enough to bowl good deliveries, they can still take wickets," he added. "Yes, we should have finished the game as we did against Rajasthan. But these things happen sometimes when you lose quick wickets. Thank God, we won the match and hopefully learn from the mistakes and not repeat them in the coming games," Rashid said.
