Na skupinovej psychoterapii sa u doktora Wágnera náhodou stretnú tri ženy zrelého veku. Líšia sa síce profesiou a tiež povahou, ale majú rovnaký problém. Ich depresie a trápenia majú totiž spoločného menovateľa: neveru manželov, ktorým obetovali desiatky - často i neľahkých - rokov spoločného života. Spontánne ich to zblíži a rozhodnú sa, že lepšia, než drahé sedenie u psychoterapeuta, bude pomsta. S tou si navzájom pomôžu a pre svojich neverných manželov pripravia skutočné peklo na zemi... Film je úsmevným pohľadom na mužskú krízu stredného veku a oslavou ženskej solidarity.
