Filmovými hviezdami nabitá rodinná komédia o neľútostnej vojne vnuka a jeho starého otca, ktorého hrá Robert De Niro. Peter je nadšený, keď sa dozvie, že dedko Ed bude bývať s ním a jeho rodinou v jednom dome. Ale len do chvíle, kým sa Ed nepresťahuje do jeho detskej izby. Peter sa svojho kráľovstva nemieni len tak ľahko vzdať a s pomocou kamarátov vymýšľa najrôznejšie spôsoby, ako starkého vyštvať z domu. Dedo sa však len tak ľahko nevzdáva a začne plánovať odvetu. Do vojny sa zapletú aj Uma Thurman, Christopher Walken a nestarnúca Jane Seymour.
