Original title: BEH This is a record number. More than 85,000 Belgians registered last year as organ donors. One is a good thing even if the demands are much higher than the donations. The heart, lungs, pancreas are very popular organs. The opportunity for us to discover behind the scenes in what are called organ banks. One of them is in Brussels. It is the European bank of HOMOGREFFES. It receives only one type of tissue, heart valves and arteries. Dr. Jashari takes care of receiving the tissues, cryo-preserving them and then proposing the arteries to the patients who need them, all over Europe.
