After the Logger video I decided to do the same thing to my Red Wing 8268 Engineers. I darkened the engineers with Mink Oil. I am more than happy with the results. Now, one thing to add is at the end of the video I have the boots on after soaking them for 10 minutes in very warm water. The right boot actually took in water. My sock was wet versus my left sock was dry. I wore the boots all day and at night I stuffed both boots with newspaper to soak up any moisture.
