Medical-College: The National Medical Commission (NMC) has initiate a survey to know the amount of stipend paid to undergraduate (UG) interns and postgraduate (PG) medical students in self-financed or private medical colleges in India. A letter released on Thursday said the initiative is being taken in compliance with the National Human Rights Commission’s (NHRC) order dated February 24, 2023, asking the NMC to conduct a survey to cover all private medical colleges, to find what were the prescribed rates of stipend for UG and PG Interns and to check whether they are being paid accordingly or not?
