Tamar and Towanda have a chat with Towanda's life Coach Iyanla Vanzant. And they also discuss Tamar's solo album from 2000 hurting The Braxtons group. Towanda's goal on "Starting Over" was to 'discover true self'. She wanted to be a singer at the time but felt insecure with her musical side. Her Buds, as Iyanla put it, her housemates Kim and Jennifer achieved their goals at the same time and graduated together in this episode. The clip is from season 2 (2004) but the opening I used was ripped from a season 3 episode. The episode I have ripped does not contain the theme plus season 3's theme used clips from season 2 anyways. I ripped the video from Daily motion and the theme from another youtuber who had a season 3 clip and combined them. I only used the clips Tamar and Towanda are in. I linked the full episode above. if You're unaware of what "Starting over" is, "Starting over" was a reality show where 6 women (at a time) lived in the same house while seeking the help of 2 life coaches, Rhonda Britten, Rana Walker (season 1 only) and Iyanla Vanzant (seasons 2-3), and a male psychologist, Stan J. Katz (Seasons 2-3) to help them fix their lives. When she acheives her goal, she graduates and sponsors of the show give them gradution gifts. The women are graded from time to time at the "board of review". if A woman gets an F or 2 C's in a row or if she's hurting her own progress of the progress of her housemates, she's kicked out of the "Starting Over" house. She's also free to leave on her own. Iyanla replaced original Life Coach Rana Walker who was only on the show's first season. Starting over lasted for 3 seasons and was canceled for unknown reasons in 2006. It's currently in re-runs in Canada on network "One"
