CPMusicLibrary's video: Canadian Opera Anthology - Dr Stephanie Nakagawa

@Canadian Opera Anthology - Dr. Stephanie Nakagawa
This video is a workshop given by Dr. Stephanie Nakagawa on her doctoral thesis turned into our Canadian Opera Anthology. Being a soprano, Stephanie tried to find Canadian repertoire to use in recitals and for auditions, and found that finding and getting this material was not easy. The workshop includes the performance of some of the arias from volumes 1 & 2, including Stephanie performing with Dr. Joy Innis, Victor Davies & Maureen Hunter's I need you Guillaume from their opera, The Transit of Venus. Also included is an excerpt from our in-progress baritone-bass edition, sung by baritone Korin Thomas-Smith, I was in love, from the opera Orpheus and Eurydice by James Rolfe. John Estacio's @akkax14x Storm Aria from Filumena, and Why am I so pale beside her from Gary Kulesha's opera Red Emma is also included. You can buy the print music anthologies from the publisher Counterpoint Music Library Services https://cpmusiclibrary.ca/product/opera-anthology-sop-v1/ https://cpmusiclibrary.ca/product/opera-anthology-soprano-v2/
