CPMusicLibrary's video: Rubrics for solo organ - 5 People by Dan Locklair

@Rubrics for solo organ - # 5 People by Dan Locklair
Rubrics is a five-movement solo organ work by Dan Locklair and is his most popular piece. Written in 1988 on a commission from the Organ Artists Series of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for their tenth anniversary year celebration. Rubrics (or instructions) takes its inspiration from THE BOOK OF COMMON PRAYER (references are to the September, 1979 edition) This may be purchased through the online store of Hal Leonard Corp. https://www.halleonard.com/product/50481108/rubrics-a-liturgical-suite-for-organ?subsiteid=1 - "The people respond - Amen!" (An Order for Celebrating the Holy Eucharist, page 401) An energetic toccata, this finale is primarily based on the transposition of the four pitches that make up Movement 1, E-flat, F, A-flat, B-flat. With the addition of these four pitches to those of the primary pitch material of Movements 1 and 3, all twelve pitches of the chromatic scale are now fully represented.
