Celebrations erupted in parts of Germany after the country legalised possession of limited cannabis for recreational use. The law allowing adults aged 18 and above to carry up to 25 grams of cannabis for their own consumption came into effect on April 1. The rule also allows larger-scale but still non-commercial production of cannabis for members of “cannabis clubs” from July 1.
