CSIRO's video: A snap shot of Ashmore Reef Marine Park

@A snap shot of Ashmore Reef Marine Park
Ashmore Reef Marine Park is a sanctuary lying 630 kilometres north of Broome, in Western Australia. Each year, over 100,000 sea birds nest on the three tiny islands. Green turtles dig their nests on the soft sand. And underwater, there’s a kaleidoscope of colour among the coral reefs. In 2019, Parks Australia brought together a science team to undertake one of the biggest health checks of Ashmore Reef. Scientists from the CSIRO, the University of Western Australia, and other marine park managers left Broome and travelled by boat to the very edge of our continent. What did we find, in this underwater oasis? Watch all of our Ashmore Reef films to find out!
