@CSIRO community contributions 2019
Celebrating CSIRO's achievements with our science community in 2019. Transcript: [Upbeat music plays while images of CSIRO projects flash by on screen and text appears: 2019 was a big year. We developed a computer game to help doctors diagnose mental illness disorders and provide better treatment. We channelled Holden Caulfield to catch gluten in the rye allowing us to search for gluten in any food. We’re using data to help solve our plastic waste crisis and reduce rubbish in our oceans.] [Upbeat music continues to play while images of CSIRO projects flash by on screen and text appears: We’ve got PV for your EV power car with clean energy from the sun. We helped fix the achy-breaky heart of a U.S. man with a polymer heart valve. We got a little NSFW on Ningaloo Reef catching mating whale sharks ;). We discovered a new fly and named it after Game of Thrones’ Night King. We celebrated the 50 year anniversary of the first moon landing. We lit up our ASKAP radio telescope and proudly marched at Mardi Gras . Thanks for joining us on the journey.] [Image changes to show CSIRO Australia’s National Science Agency logo appear on screen]
